I wrote in my comment of the video that 70 000 fatalities is the official number. And that the real number of fatalities from the Gaza genocide is closer to 700 000. I am aware of the gap, sadly it’s the way of the World. One day, the real number will be acknowledged but it will take time.
China acknowledged many times the right of the Palestinians to defend their occupied homeland.
I believe diplomatic relations should be maintained at lower levels. Even if I would have wished for the Chinese Ambassador to Israel to leave Tel-Aviv, I don’t object to the presence of Israeli representatives at an international conference in Beijing like the Xiangshan Conference. Should the Chinese government expel the Israeli Ambassador in Beijing ? Perhaps but I might have a much more Realpolitik perspective of the situation.
You have to see that move by Professor Yan Xuetong as affirming the legitimacy of the Palestinians.
That China should have done more for Palestine, I agree of course but China never denied the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people & leaders to uphold their sovereignty with everything necessary including armed resistance.
