HOW MBS outplayed both Washington and Beijing

■ China’s return as a global great power allows middle powers like Saudi Arabia to negotiate what they need and want more advantageously if the Saudi rulers are smart enough for brilliantly maneuver between great powers, which is the case of Prince MBS of Arabia who outplayed both D.C. and Beijing for getting what he needs and wants.

■ To rule is the privilege and the honor of aristocratic men, meaning capable members coming from hereditary nobilities (like Prince MBS) AND capable people selected from the general population by an honest & efficient meritocratic system.

I noticed that in some cultural matrices, been born within a hereditary nobility is a quite sure path to utter corruption and wild decadence while in other cultural matrices, it simply gives self-confidence, deep identification to the nation and its glory, also the aspiration of earnestly working for making it more powerful, greater and even nurtured by the hope of creating the everlasting civilization.

If some countries feel the need of maintaining a charade called elections, it’s obviously the choice of their present respective ruling oligarchies having of course their own legitimate reasons and perhaps also much more unavowable motivations for keeping such a system.

It is perfectly possible to know very easily the needs, the wants and the grievances of any general population AND quite efficiently addressing them without resorting to a national election system.
