Merz was never a conventional politician. Before assuming the chancellorship, he spent years as a senior executive at Blackrock, the World’s largest assets manager. His networks run deep through the Atlantic-Brücke, the Munich Security Conference, and other institutions that bind the German political class to Washington and Wall Street.

Now that this project is collapsing, the transnational elite that installed Merz is seeking alternatives.

They will find a new face, a new party, a new coalition. Anything to preserve the appearance of democratic choice while ensuring that real power remains firmly in their hands. This is the logic of power.

When a regime’s legitimacy collapses, the elite adapts by REBUILDING THE SIMULACRUM.

The German political system, like so many in the West, has become a managed democracy, a system in which elections are held and governments change, BUT THE FUNDAMENTAL DIRECTION OF POLICY IS DETERMINED BY A NARROW TRANSNATIONAL ELITE THAT DOES NOT ANSWER TO THE VOTERS.

A government that enjoys the approval of just 10% of the population loses its room to act; every decision it makes is rightly viewed as illegitimate. Hence the urgent need to change horses, choosing among those already saddled and waiting in the stable.
