Two enlightening scholarly videos on the Gospel of Thomas aka the Gospel of Jude the Twin (Twin is Tawma in Aramaic) : EVANGELION IOUDAS DIDYMOS
■■■ I just want to adumbrate 2 things from these 2 quite scholarly and enlightening videos :
●1● The Gospel of Thomas was already known by the discovery in Egypt at the end of the XIX century (~1896) of the papyri of Oxyrhynchus by Bernard Pyne and Arthur Hunt before the discovery in 1945 by Mohammad Ali Al-Salman of the Nag Hammadi Library, also in Egypt.
●2● The Gospel of John (written between 90 ce and 110 ce) has been produced as a polemical work by a scholar of the johannine community against 4 other communities : the communities inspired by the writings from Mark, from Luke, from Matthew (all three communities viewing Jesus as a Davidic Messiah so not having an Universal scope but limited to the Jewish World) and ESPECIALLY hostile towards the one inspired by the Gospel of Thomas. John had the belief that Jesus is an Universal God.
So it is not a surprise that the Gospel of Thomas portraying Jesus as A MERE MORTAL MAN but HAVING ACHIEVED HIS ARISTOCRATIC EDUCATION — HAVING BROUGHT FORTH FROM WITHIN, from Timelessness, what is excellent, meaning BEAUTY GOODNESS TRUTH into Time transmuted as the Mind Powers, called Cardinal Virtues, for Justice, for Valor & Temperance, for Wisdom — existentially living in spontaneous union with the One AND ALSO TEACHING THAT PERSONAL DISCOVERY TO HIS FELLOW MEN was so harshly rejected by John or by the unknown scholar of the johannine community known to us as John.
The johannine community was the one having made up, like Paul, the God Jesus as the Logos, who was at the beginning with God and is God. That imaginary Jesus thus had the needed majesty for rivalizing with Jupiter, Apollo and the other already established major deities of the Mediterranean World of the time.
Thomas is portrayed in the Gospel of John as a spiritual dunce severely rebuked by Jesus and the expression “doubting Thomas” comes from John. So it was a systematic derogatory portrayal of Thomas by John for ideologico-political reasons.
■■■ Later on the Roman Empire in need of a new institutional religion for coralling the plebs obviously made up its version of the johannine viewpoint as its creature — the 325 & 381 Niceno-Constantinopolitan Creed — since it’s much more useful for the imperial hierarchical and control purposes : BLIND BELIEF IN THE made up GOD JESUS AS THE ONLY WAY TO SALVATION.
The present successor of the Roman Empire, the Kakistocratic Feudal Conglomerate of the Anglo-Zio-American EstabLishment KFC-AZAEL still controls skillfully its creature — as long as the collective West is concerned — the Whore of Babylon, meaning the Niceno-Constantinopolitan Creed AND including ALL the Christian denominations coming from the historical schisms having happened throughout History since the 325 Nicea imperial ecumenical Council.

The most powerfully dangerous gospel to pauline Christianity aka the Niceno-Constantinopolitan Creed and the schismatic Churches coming from it built on a made up God Jesus, imaginary Second Person of a made up Trinity.
